Commenting on the consultation which has now opened into the proposed relocation of Kendal Post Office, councillor James Airey said: “The proposal to close Kendal Post Office and re-locate it in the town’s WH Smith store has united the community and politicians of all parties in opposition.
“Common sense was obviously not so common in the offices of Post Office Ltd when this proposal was dreamed up. A cursory visit to Kendal would illustrate the fundamental flaws in the plan.
“I would encourage as many people as possible to register their views through the consultation which can be accessed here.
