University MUST PUT COMMUNITY FIRST

Lakes Councillor Ben Berry says the University must put the Community into the heart of their plans for returning to Ambleside

After a closed door meeting of the Board yesterday, rumours are abound that Cumbria University are set to return to the Ambleside campus bringing a further 400 students to the site.

While the decision has been welcomed with open arms by many local politicians, one had a word of warning "The University MUST put the community first. Many residents have felt they haven't been listened to at all and for the University to be a success they have to work with the local community." said Ben Berry
