County Matters

Over the past few weeks, County Highways have been carrying out resurfacing work in the Town and in Lindale by the roundabout

These works have been able to be carried out due to the extra funding from Central Government the County has received and hopefully will continue to be allocated.

As far as the Covid epidemic is concerned the County has received extra funding over the past year to cover all the measures we have had to put in place and the grants that both the District and County have allocated to our communities.

I Have also been informed by many about the very efficient and well-managed vaccination programme being carried out by our Medical Centre here in Grange. Our thanks to all the medical staff and volunteers who are helping with this mammoth task to vaccinate residents in the communities in our area.

I must thank all our Council staff for their hard work and resilience in making sure our services and support to our residents have been maintained.

Cumbria Highways has just issued the following survey to help them improve the service they supply to us all.

Cumbria County Council’s Highways Service have launched an online survey to understand the views and needs of local people and road users.

The survey is part of a project to develop and improve the highways service, ensuring the network meets the needs of local communities, businesses, and visitors.

From improving the planning of routine and emergency roadworks, to the reporting of road faults or defects, we aim to understand customers views to help make the service better for everyone. The survey aims to gain an understanding of customer’s current views about the service and learn about their previous experiences with the service, gaining a better understanding of their communication preferences

Please use this link to highways to complete the survey.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact [email protected].

I hope you can fill in this survey which will help highways to improve their service to us all.

Kindest regards
