A leading South Lakes councillor has used a special video message marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the NHS to say a heartfelt thank you to local NHS staff for the care they have provided to him, his family and people across South Lakeland.
Councillor James Airey, the Conservative group leader on Cumbria County Council, filmed his NHS70 birthday message at the Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal.
